Remember waaaaay back in August, when I spent my 37th birthday filming an episode of a TV show where I got a kitchen makeover? Well, it finally aired, so now I can share!
This was one of the biggest custom furniture projects we’ve ever made together, and even though we (temporarily) wrecked the main level of our house with sawdust and piles of tools, it all feels worth it looking at the finished piece.
For less than $20 in fabric and upholstery tacks — and about 30 minutes of sewing, cutting and hammering — she had what looked like a brand-new ottoman.
The farmhouse sign itself looks great, but what I love even more is how it fills the gap above the patio doors and helps to balance the height of the new hutch.
