Today’s the day!

22 weeks, 2 days pregnant
Today’s the day we find out the sex! Eeeeeeeeeeeek!
The appointment is at 4:45 p.m., and they suggest eating “something sugary” about 20 minutes beforehand. So Darling Husband supplied me with all of the following:
  • Orange pop
  • Fun Dip
  • Nerds
  • Mike and Ikes
  • Pop Rocks
Um, no, I am not eating all of that! Holy crap, Little Baby would be gyrating around in there, and they’d have to pry me off the ceiling.
I refused the Pop Rocks — they seem like they’d make the baby explode — and stored the Mike and Ikes in my desk for future snackage.
The plan is to sip the orange pop and eat the Fun Dip around 4:15 p.m., and bring the Nerds in my purse in case I don’t feel any movement by the time we arrive. I am ready. I am SO ready!
Open those legs, baby!
Um, Mommy promises to never say that again. Ever.
P.S. I won’t be seeing Mom and Little Sis until tomorrow, and I want to tell them in person. So expect the official gender announcement to appear on the blog tomorrow (Wednesday, January 3) at 5 p.m. EST.

  1. I have been following your blog for awhile now…and I must say that we are VERY alike! 🙂 I LOVE your blog and have found so much comfort in knowing that I'm not the ONLY pregnant lady out there who makes lists and questions (and needs to comment on) every little part of this wonderful adventure! Our husbands also sound very similar, in that they are the reassuring voices in our lives. I'm due August 24, 2010 so I have awhile to go until we find out the gender…until then I will live vicariously through you! I am definitely checking tomorrow afternoon to see if you are team blue or pink! 🙂 Best of luck! I hope after all of that sugar that baby cooperates!!

So what do you think?
