14 weeks and counting

14 weeks pregnant!
I’m in my 15th week today! Fifteen as in only five weeks from the big 2-0 — the half-way mark!
This whole pregnancy thing is really baffling sometimes. Being 20 weeks pregnant means you are halfway there — halfway finished. And I’m only five weeks away from that.
Plus, I’m only five weeks away from having my 20-week ultrasound (officially my first ultrasound, except for my little sneak peek in Week 12). I cannot wait to have a longer, better glimpse of Little Baby — and hopefully see him/her move around, since last time was such a quick glimpse.
I know what you’re thinking — Week 20 also means knowing the sex, right? Well, in my province, the doctors are not allowed to tell you the sex of the baby during an ultrasound — BOO, huh? Ocassionally, if a wang or something is really evident on the screen, they will admit it. But that doesn’t happen very often.
So what’s an obsessive super-planning mother-to-be to do? Well, Darling Husband and I are already booked in at a private clinic that specializes in spilling the beans about pee-pees and hoo-hoos. We’re going at the beginning of my 22nd week, and they guarentee you’ll find out the sex (or if the baby is hiding its parts, you get to come back again, for free).
Now if only I had 14 mini-cupcakes to celebrate today with today …

So what do you think?
