Five things I didn’t expect about the first trimester

9 weeks, 4 days pregnant
Five things I didn’t expect about the first trimester:
  1. That my pants would stop buttoning so quickly
  2. That my boobs would actually outgrow my bras so quickly
  3. That “morning sickness” is not (for me, at least) throwing up in the morning. It’s feeling like nauseous sh-t from the moment you wake up until about 3 p.m.
  4. That I would be dying for my bed by 8 p.m. every night
  5. That food would take on such extremes (from “I will not go near that disgusting chicken. Ugh, look at it!” to “Ohhh, God, I need cheesies! I need them RIGHT NOW. Ohh, these cheesies are the best thing in the world.”)

  1. You were so excited to get pregnant so make sure you don't forget the reason you're pregnant… to bring a child into the world and into your lives. Of course you want to cover all aspects of the pregnancy (good and bad) but your blog contains a lot of complaints and sometimes gives the impression that this is just a project. Remember lots of people would love to be in your position right now (me for example). Cherish this time because it will go fast and you don't want to forget all the good memories.

  2. I started this blog to talk about my own experience with TTC/pregnancy, and I always tell it like it is. Yes, that includes the less fabulous sides of pregnancy, but it's because I wanted to record exactly how I'm feeling — for posterity, and in the hope that other pregnant women can relate.

There are plenty of posts about how I am happy and excited as well — but I'm sure you didn't bother to read those. Please go be negative somewhere else.
