I WANT: BumGenius one-size cloth diapers

Remember my cloth-diapering rant? Well, I’m back with more ammunition. I want these!

These diapers are totally and completely amazing. They fit babies 7-35 pounds, so you buy one set and they will last until your tot’s in potty-trained. Well, I think so, anyway. How old is a 35-pounder? Two?
Anyway, wowee. Love them!

P.S. I know I said I would consider sewing them myself, but I feel like handmade ones might fall apart in the laundry? … Hmm, maybe I should make a trial one.

  1. I'll be curious to see what you find out if you make one and put it through the laundry. These are cute and I would love to have them but the price is so high! I love the thought of making them because the price would be so low (and I think of all the cute fabrics that could be used!). But I never thought about them falling apart, that is a good point. I really need a sewing machine so I can try it out myself!!!

I’m Heather Laura Clarke. I’m a writer living in beautiful Nova Scotia, I have a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, I married my high school sweetheart, and this is the story of my handmade life.

I have depression and anxiety, and I fight like hell every day to keep them from taking over my life. Creating things helps.

Whether I’m writing novels, decorating a room, busting out my power tools to build furniture, getting muddy in the pottery studio, sewing clothes, or cross-stitching a swear word, I’m all about using my creativity to craft a life I love.

I’ve been writing this blog since 2009, so if you dig deep into the archives, you’ll meet a bright-eyed 25-year-old newlywed who was basically obsessed with having kids, buying a cozy house, and supporting herself full-time with her writing. (Spoiler alert: she got exactly what she wanted.)
