6 WEEKS, 3 DAYS PREGNANT

Things eaten on this icky nauseous day:
  • Homemade smoothie
  • Peanut butter sandwich (for breakfast)
  • Rice Krispie square
  • Mac-and-cheese (couldn’t stomach it)
  • Baby carrots (couldn’t stomach them)
  • Another rice Krispie square
  • Smoothie from the food court
Anybody noticing a pattern?

Back in May, I introduced myself to smoothies after reading that they can really help when you’re suffering from morning sickness.

Darling Husband whipped up my first smoothie of the day, and the second one — which is replacing the lunch I could not eat — was from a smoothie bar in the mall.

I stared at the menu for a good five minutes, feeling grossed out by the mentions of banana and milk, until I finally broken down and told the girl I wanted something “light and fruity and strawberry-orange-ish … but with no banana.”

She whipped me up something that wasn’t on the menu — does that make me a minor celebrity? — that she said contains strawberries, oranges, yogurt and honey. Mmmmmmm.

God bless the smoothie girl.
God bless the books for saying smoothies help morning sickness.
But mainly, God bless the smoothie girl. Again.
I’m sure I will be seeing her tomorrow.

So what do you think?
