I just came across an old post where I said — and I quote:
“Tell me … tell me, seriously … that Baby Boy is not going to be wearing 12-18 month clothing by the time he is five or six months old?”
The answer is … “Seriously, he will be.”
Baby Boy is seven months old, and he’s been wearing 12-18 stuff for about a month now — some items a bit earlier, while some items are still a little large. He still has some 6-12 items that fit him (or at least “fit him” in my opinion, since I like him in more trim-fitting outfits).
I’m relieved he did stay in the 6-12 size clothing for quite a long time — from two 1/2 months until about six months — because he got good use out of the outfits. I hate to waste a cute outfit!
So far I’ve packed massive plastic crates full of 0-3 clothes, 3-6 clothes, and 6-12 clothes (although the biggest 6-12 items are still being worn), and everything is stored away for future babies. Packing the crates is always emotional, because I see all the beloved teensy items that no longer fit my big strapping man.
Speaking of future babies … What’s that? You want an update? Well, no news (a.k.a no period) yet.
P.S. Yeah, I could take a test. But they’re like $15, and whenever I take one, my period arrives an hour later. Remember what I said before? “First Response wants our money, girls!”
P.P.S. Always ones to get ahead of ourselves, Darling Husband and I have settled on a name if Baby #2 is a boy.
P.P.P.S. But we still don’t think I’m actually pregnant.
P.P.P.P.S. At least, we’re pretty sure I’m not.
P.P.P.P.P.S. If it doesn’t arrive by Wednesday morning, I’ll take one. But it will arrive.
P.P.P.P.P.P.S. I think.
