19 weeks, 2 days pregnant
Little Sis to the rescue
again, folks! One of my Christmas presents from her was a wedge pillow, and it’s been a lifesaver in helping me sleep lately.
When I first unwrapped it, I must confess that I had no clue how it would work. Wedge? What? Where would it go?
It’s a neat little pillow — shaped like a wedge, obviously — that you kind of shove under your bump when you’re sleeping on your side. It keeps the bump supported, so the weight doesn’t roll your body over and mash your face into the pillow.
So now when I get into bed, I lay on my side, shove the wedge under the bump, put a regular pillow between my legs, and put another regular pillow behind my back — so when my back’s sore, I can sort of lean back against it.
In the future, I can actually forsee using another pillow to put under my ankles (which hurt when I do too much walking).
And yup, Little Dog and Darling Husband are also somewhere in this mass of pillows.
On the edge of the bed.
Fighting for every inch of space.
