Sign of the times

My baby is going to be a Gemini!

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier. As a Leo, I’ve always been (kinda) interested in astrological mumbo-jumbo — and have always felt I was very much a Leo.
But, oddly enough, it didn’t even occur to me to check the baby’s sign. Then today, someone commented on my preggo announcement on Facebook, and said the baby would be a Gemini.

Some quick research shows that Geminis are born between May 22 and June 21 — most definitely this will be Little Baby, unless he/she is extremely, mind-blowingly early or late. Their symbol is “The Twins” — not as cool as a lion, I must say, and here are their traits:
Traditional (good) traits:
  • Adaptable and versatile
  • Communicative and witty
  • Intellectual and eloquent
  • Youthful and lively

On the dark side …

  • Nervous and tense
  • Superficial and inconsistent
  • Cunning and inquisitive
Not a bad mix. I like that our baby might be especially adaptable — since I’m not! Being communicative and eloquent is very important to my writer self. And, really, aren’t we all a little superficial and tense sometimes?
Another interesting thing is that Gemini is a “mutable” sign (along with Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces), which means they “straddle two temperate zone seasons.”
People born under a mutable sign are thought to be adaptable, impressionable, sharp, sympathetic, communicative, resourceful and restless, with a gift for seeing both sides of a situation at the same time and an immense desire for knowledge, variety and new ideas.

They supposedly adapt very well to new situations, possess much flexibility, seldom have any particular agenda and are perfectly happy to fill in an assigned role. However, they are also said to be inconsistent, changeable, nervous, indecisive and irresponsible, with a tendency to get wrapped up in tiny particulars. There is also a certain duality associated with all the mutable quality signs.

The mutable or bicorporal signs signify a duality of life experiences, and those individuals who are influenced by these signs are likely to have two main experiences, two main vocations, or two main loves that will strongly affect them for the totality of their existence.

Does having two main vocations mean Little Baby will be able to buy a mansion for his/her darling parents?

  1. I'm a Sagittarius, which makes me mutable … I can see the resemblances to myself in there .. interesting!

So what do you think?
